Bill Winston is a visionary leader whose mission is to empower Believers through teaching and preaching the uncompromised Word of God, and to fulfill their highest calling and change the world through Jesus Christ.
Bill Winston received his Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Friends International Christian University, and is Founder and Pastor of Living Word Christian Center, a 18,000 member church located in Forest Park, Illinois, and Tuskegee Christian Center in Tuskegee, Alabama. The church has a broad range of entities including: the Joseph Business School; Living Word School of Ministry and Missions; the Forest Park Plaza (a 32-acre shopping mall) and Washington Plaza (a shopping center in Tuskegee); Living Word Christian Academy; and many others.
Pastor Winston is also the Founder and Chairman of The Joseph Center® for Business Development, Chairman of the Board of Covenant Bank, President of New Covenant Community Development Corporation, Founder of Bill Winston Ministries (a ministry outreach that shares the Gospel through television, radio, and other media), and President and Founder of Faith Ministries Alliance (FMA), an alliance of more than 350 churches and ministries under the covering of Pastor Winston in the U.S. and overseas.
Pastor Winston is married to Veronica and is the father of three children, Melody, Nicole, and David.
Veronica Winston
Veronica Irene Brown Winston was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She is the daughter of Dr. Stephen and Barbara Brown, both former educators with the Chicago Public School System.
She attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Audiology and Speech Pathology in 1977. Upon graduation, she returned to Chicago and started a promising career in marketing and systems engineering with IBM. It was there that she met her husband, Bill Winston, a Regional Marketing Manager. He was instrumental in her coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and on February 27, 1983, she was baptized in water and was filled with the Holy Spirit at Apostolic Church of God in Chicago. Bill and Veronica were married on July 16, 1983. Bill's promotion and her transfer brought them to Minneapolis, Minnesota where God called Bill into the ministry and used them to pioneer their first church, Mission Temple of Faith, in 1984.
Before returning to the Chicagoland area, they lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Bill attended Oral Roberts University School of Theology and Mission, and incorporated Bill Winston Ministries. In the fall of 1988, they returned to the Chicagoland area and started Living Word Christian Center. Living Word is currently located in their recently purchased Forest Park Mall, 7600 West Roosevelt Road, in Forest Park, Illinois. The church is now 12 years old and has a congregation of over 12,000.
Throughout the years, Veronica has assisted her husband in many different areas as these churches grew and became established: praise and worship (guitar and piano), administration, bookkeeping, children's ministry, book and tape ministries, intercessory prayer, "Women of Excellence" conferences, and the ministry of the Word of God.
Veronica has a love for God's Word and a desire for the body of Christ to rise to their greatest potential through practical application of God's Word in their everyday lives. Her teachings bring a clear understanding of biblical truths with an emphasis on walking in victory in every circumstance of life.
Veronica has ministered as a chaplain at Madden Mental Health Center, is a licensed minister and has recently authored her first book entitled "Prayer Confessions to Dominate in the New Millennium". She is currently active in the Prayer Ministry as advisor, teacher, and corporate prayer group leader.
