Children's and Youth Ministry

Children are our future. With the world getting darker around us, it is vitally important, and our responsibility, to provide our children with a solid foundation in the Word of God. At LWCC, that foundation is built throughout each age level with the same emphasis as adults. Children are exposed to and taught the Word, beginning at the earliest age possible. Part of the vision of the children's ministry is to equip the saints to go forth in the world as leaders, thoroughly established in the Word of God.

Kids For Christ provides loving and nurturing environments for infants, toddlers, and children through the age of twelve so that they can learn to hear God's voice, know God, and know His purpose. Children participate in Praise & Worship, prayer, story time, bible study, music, creative arts, camp outings, and many other fun-filled activities. They learn to memorize and recite scripture; know the doctrinal explanation of, and scripture reference for salvation, healing, prayer, prosperity, and faith; know details of Bible stories; know the application of leading someone to salvation; and they learn to know and become "occupied" with Jesus.

Our children are learning to live in victory so that they can go forth as lights in this world being used by God to break the power of darkness over the earth.

Harvest Youth Ministry

We are excited about the Harvest Youth Ministry here at Living Word. Young people are important and unique in their God-given abilities and qualities. We want our youth to be faithful to the Lord Jesus regardless of their circumstances. We are training and equipping them to enter into the adult world with all the power that God has given them to conquer life and walk in victory with the plans and future God has set before them. Each week we spend time with our youth specifically preparing them for their ministry and helping to effectively guide their gifts and talents in this ministry.

Our purpose for our youth ministry is to restore, build, and equip these young saints for life. Thus, placing them in a position to receive understanding from God to complete their purpose and assignment.

We are committed to:

• Winning souls to Christ
• Teaching youth to value their relationship with God, their family, and friends
• Encouraging youth to spend time with God daily through worship, Bible study, and prayer
• Instilling in the youth to support their peers in prayer
• Instilling in them a God-value system: self-esteem, self-determination, unity, purpose, faith, honesty, integrity, economics, collective work, and responsibility
• Raising their standards, by respecting parents and authority figures, striving for excellence, and pursuing godliness
• Teaching them to live a bold and uncompromising life for Jesus of holiness and righteousness
• Being producers of them by encouraging our youth to represent Christ at all times
• Providing opportunities for teenagers to minister through their personal gifts of leadership, drama, music, dance, etc.
• Ministering to our youth through events and conferences
• Providing youth/parents meetings and fellowships for effective family structure

At Living Word Christian Center we are teaching our youth The Way, The Truth, and The Life.
