Prophetic Word Spoken Through Min. Paul Wilbur Sunday, October 20, 2002 You know the Lord is looking for someone to give Chicago to. You know the eye of the Lord is searching to and fro across this city and there have been men and women who have come and gone. And there have been those who have started a good race, but something came in to block their path and the things that came their way and the prosperity and all the goodness of the Lord began to take their initial zeal for the city... But I was sitting in the first service here and I felt like the Spirit of the Lord said, He's given you the city. Given you the city...the city. The city of Chicago. The city of Chicago. Because there is a humility in your heart. There's a gentleness of the shepherd and there's a desire to see others go ahead of you before you get there. You're not impressed with wealth. It's not something that you secretly desire in your heart, but your desire is to see the people prosper. You desire to see the word of God prosper in the hearts of the people and because of that, the Lord says, I'll give you the city. I'll give you the city. I'll give you the city. I'll give you the city. I'll give you the city. And you whom I've taken from the ends of the earth and called to this place from its remotest parts, and I've said to you, you are my servants, I have chosen you and I have not rejected you. Do not fear! Do not anxiously look about you, for I am the Lord. And in this calling I will strengthen you. Surely I will come along and I will help you and in times of difficulty I will uphold you with my righteous right hand, says the Lord. For I have gathered you. I've assembled you for a purpose and for an hour. And this is the hour, says the Lord. |
