Bereavement / Comfort

New Believers / Members Services
Special Projects / Initiatives
As a demonstration of our love to our Members and/or their relatives who are away from Living Word Christian Center and their home due to military duty or college attendance, monthly care packages are sent out to encourage, bless, and minister to those loved ones. Members can partake in the vision God has given to Pastor Winston and Living Word Christian Center by signing up to bless a fellow brother or sister in Christ who is away from home, and by sowing into their lives love and the Word of God. Members may also participate by adopting a soldier / college student as they sow into the ministry. Please call Member Services for more information.
(Please refer to Matthew 19:14-15 NIV for a scriptural reference.)
Baby Dedications (for Member's children ages 0-2 years old) are performed on the first and third Sundays of each month at the 9:00 am and 11:00 am services. Stage dedications are provided for married couples only; other accommodations are provided for single or unmarried parents. Requests for baby dedications must be received at least one month in advance of the desired date. Altar ministers are available to pray for any families who want their children dedicated, but may not be members of LWCC.
Assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis for Members or others who are experiencing a time of great financial lack or are facing a homeless situation, etc. Individuals must complete an application and the screening process to determine if the Church is able to assist in fulfilling their needs.
(Please refer to I Thessalonians 4:13-18 for a scriptural reference.)
The comfort ministry is a ministry of love and compassion and provides comfort, aid, and support to Members and their families after the loss of a loved one (i.e. Spouse, Children, Parent).
Facilities are available for funerals and repasses and are officiated by Pastor Winston, the Assistant Pastor, or another officiating minister based on availability. Should the services be held at another location other than Living Word Christian Center, Pastor Winston, the Assistant Pastor, or another officiating minister may be requested to officiate based on availability.
Please contact Member Services for general information, ministry events, or other opportunities and inquiries about the ministry.
To receive an application or inquire about the process or status of an application, please contact Member Services.
When a Member is hospitalized or in need of a hospice visit, we will provide prayer and send a representative of the church to visit the Member or his/her loved one (family member) as requested and if appropriate.
Lost and found items may be turned in to the Information Booths or to the Head Usher. If you lost an item, please contact Member Services. If the item is identifiable, an attempt will be made to contact the owner of the item. Items are held for a period of 45 days. After that time, LWCC reserves the right to donate / or dispose of the item as appropriate.
It is our goal to see to it that the New Believer or Member has a firm foundation in which to build upon and is established in the Word of God so that they can grow and experience a life of victory in Christ Jesus. Foundation Classes are encouraged as the first step in the process and additional assistance and personal ministry is provided to New Believers and Members as needed.
Member Services addresses, plans, and implements any services to the congregation as a particular need arises. This includes creating any new ministries to service our Members and the Body of Christ under the direction of Pastor Winston.
Pastoral Care is provided (by appointment) to those Members in need of spiritual guidance.
Member Services is available to welcome visitors, offer prayer support, answer questions, or provide assistance to visiting guests. A special hospitality area is currently being planned for visiting guests.
