Active Duty & College Student Care Packages |
|
As a demonstration of our love to our Members and/or their relatives who are away from Living Word Christian Center and their home due to military duty or college attendance, monthly care packages are sent out to encourage, bless, and minister to those loved ones. Members can partake in the vision God has given to Pastor Winston and Living Word Christian Center by signing up to bless a fellow brother or sister in Christ who is away from home, and by sowing into their lives love and the Word of God. Members may also participate by adopting a soldier / college student as they sow into the ministry. Please call Member Services for more information.
(Please refer to Matthew 19:14-15 NIV for a scriptural reference.)
Baby/Child Dedications (for Member's children ages 13 and under) are performed on the first and third Sundays of each month at the 9:00 am and 11:00 am services. Stage dedications are provided for married couples only; other accommodations are provided for single or unmarried parents. Requests for baby dedications must be received at least one month in advance of the desired date. Altar ministers are available to pray for any families who want their children dedicated, but may not be members of LWCC.
Assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis for Members or others who are experiencing a time of great financial lack or are facing a homeless situation, etc. Individuals must complete an application and the screening process to determine if the Church is able to assist in fulfilling their needs.
(Please refer to I Thessalonians 4:13-18 for a scriptural reference.)
The comfort ministry is a ministry of love and compassion and provides comfort, aid, and support to Members and their families after the loss of a loved one (i.e. Spouse, Children, Parent).
Facilities are available for funerals and repasses and are officiated by Pastor Winston, the Assistant Pastor, or another officiating minister based on availability. Should the services be held at another location other than Living Word Christian Center, Pastor Winston, the Assistant Pastor, or another officiating minister may be requested to officiate based on availability.
