Living Word's Prayer Ministry plays a vital role in the growth and day-to-day operations of Living Word Christian Center. Without the diligent prayers of this ministry, much of what Living Word has become would yet to exist.
Prayer in our church is a lot like a business ("the business of prayer") and it must be organized and strategic so we can effectively get the job done. In our efforts to organize we have set out on a mission to teach and train the membership of LWCC and the Body of Christ on prayer, intercession, worship, fellowship, and spiritual warfare. By doing this, we are helping them to develop effectiveness in their prayers that gets the desired results.
Our various activities and events are bathed in prayer and are designed to motivate the saints to pray and to bring them to a sense of priority and the importance of prayer in their own personal lives. We have established prayer teams that cover LWCC, the Body of Christ, and the nations. These prayer teams are targeted so that the gospel can be preached and received freely, the enemy will remain subdued under our feet, the saints will experience victory in every area of life, and that the vision, plans, and projects of LWCC will be prayed through to successful completion. In our ongoing pursuit to pray and support local churches in establishing effective prayer ministries, we are fulfilling God's decree in Isaiah 56:6-7, which is "... I will make them joyful in my house of prayer ... for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people."
